Hi Friends & Supporters!
As we head into May, we just want to say thank you for continuing to support local artists, makers, and small businesses here in our community.
One of our favorite parts of Making SLO is seeing the connections that happen every day. We love seeing our customers discover new artists, thoughtful gifts finding the right person, and creativity being celebrated in meaningful ways.
This month, we’re excited to showcase new art on our walls and special seasonal creations. We’re also continuing to grow and evolve in ways that help support our creative community even more, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead, hopefully very soon!

May “Artist Showcase”
Paintings by G. D. Thompson
We are honored to host Paintings by G. D. Thompson for the entire month of May. Gisele creates beautiful acrylic pieces on canvas, often painting on-site or getting inspired by her own photography. These original works are then carefully photographed to offer high-quality prints in a variety of sizes.
Gisele’s collection will be on display at the store for the rest of May. Come take a look!
Strawberries Through Grover Beach
Join us for one of our favorite local traditions! The Strawberries Through Grover Beach Festival is a free event happening Saturday, May 16th.
We’ll be there with a curated collection of strawberry-themed products made by our talented local makers.
